About Abi
I have been working in education since 2014 and Qualified as a Primary School Teacher in 2017. In 2019, I turned my passion for helping others into a full-time job as a private tutor. Through my years of experience, I have worked with a wide range of children with various needs including those with SEND.
My approach is very dependent on each student's needs, interests and skillset.
When working with my younger students, I aim to make lessons as fun as possible in order to maintain their concentration for the lesson. This usually involves using a mixture of resources, activities and games.
I feel that teaching is not only about academic success but helping students to build confidence and a love of learning that supports them throughout their lives.

As an experienced tutor and primary school teacher, I have seen just how important it is to cater to each child's needs.
Before a new student starts with me, I offer a free 30-minute appointment where I can get to know your child and their learning styles. I use this to build a set of personalised weekly lesson plans to not only improve their academic success but also to help build their confidence.
My typical lessons are an hour long, although this can be reduced for very young children (EYFS).
My lessons are £30 per hour but if you book a block then the price is reduced to £25 per hour.
