About Rosie Graham
When I'm not teaching, you can find me with my nose in a book, traveling, or just hanging out with my friends. My 2 cats Paddington and Percy are a huge part of my life too! I believe my love for reading along with love for arts and crafts directly influence my teaching, where I'm always finding creative ways to make lessons engaging and fun for my students.

Hi! I'm an experienced teacher with 9 years of experience in primary schools, including 5 years as a certified teacher and prior to that 4 years as a teacher aide. As a current new entrant teacher, I love helping kids get a great start, and I'm skilled in teaching all primary subjects. I have a real passion for arts and crafts especially with year 0-8 students. I can come up with an art project to work on together, or if your child has a real passion for learning to work with a new medium, or has a topical interest (in a certain animal, book or movie) I can base a lesson off of that. A lesson would be 1 hour, and depending on the art project it could be carried out over 2-4 lessons. I would supply all materials needed. I can teach acrylic painting, watercolor, alcohol marker blending, sketching, bracelet making, polymer clay creations, air dry clay, embroidery (materials may cost more for embroidery) and also collage. I have a Bachelor in Education (Primary), and a Structured Literacy credential from the University of Canterbury focusing on the "Better Start Literacy Approach". Tutoring sessions are available outside of school hours at my home in Onehunga, or we can connect through distance learning for convenience. I offer a first free meeting via Zoom or Google Meet to discuss your learning goals.
