About Samena
I am a Qualified Primary School Teacher who has experiences in teaching children of key stage one and two. I am also an experienced Private Tutor and have been tutoring for over ten years to individual students and also in groups at my learning centre.
I have experience in taking different approaches of learning for each individual child. This could be through my questioning, resources and building confidence within the child.
I have helped achieve excellent results for my students with very satisfied learners and parents.

I use various teaching methods and explanations in mathematics, which are adapted to each individual student and have been proven to deliver success amongst them. It’s important for my students to understand the reasoning behind why a certain method is used to gain the answer in a calculation and not just know how to calculate it. By focusing on this point, the learning is able to be recalled at a later stage far more efficiently.
I teach in accordance with the national curriculum. As done so in schools, I have broken down the curriculum for mathematics into targets that I use to teach for each year group. I use a wide range of teaching resources, designed to make the learning more interactive and engaging for my students, in turn helping them to reach their goals quicker. I take great pride in doing the best possible for my students and to give them an advantageous start to secondary school. My main aim is to strengthen my students’ skills and push them to achieve greater depth in their learning.
As much as teaching is important to me, creating bonds with my students and their parents is also vital. I focus on building relationships in which both the student and parent have full confidence and trust in me, where they can happily and confidently discuss any concerns with me.
