About Louise
I am a Piano tutor with over 14 years of teaching experience, guiding students from school, college, and professional backgrounds. My mission is to create a learning environment where every student can develop technical skills, musical understanding, and confidence while enjoying the process of playing piano.
My teaching philosophy is rooted in patience, clarity, and individualised guidance. I focus on building strong fundamentals including finger technique, hand coordination, rhythm, sight reading, and music theory, while also nurturing creativity and expression. I design lessons in simple English, reinforced with exercises, familiar songs, and demonstrations to make learning engaging and effective.
I tailor lessons to each student’s age, learning style, and goals. For young learners, lessons are interactive, fun, and motivating. For adults and working professionals, sessions are structured, goal-oriented, and flexible to fit busy schedules.
I also provide guidance on effective home practice, performance preparation, and exam readiness. Many of my students have performed confidently, passed graded exams, and developed a lifelong passion for piano. Helping students grow musically and personally is my greatest reward.

I follow a teaching methodology grounded in compassion, supportiveness, and effective communication. I believe that every student learns differently, and my role is to tailor lessons to their individual pace, abilities, and interests.
In piano lessons, I combine structured technical exercises with creative practice to help students improve skills, build confidence, and develop musical understanding. I break complex concepts into manageable steps and provide demonstrations to ensure clarity.
Positive reinforcement and constructive feedback help students stay motivated, engaged, and encouraged to progress. I also teach other relevant subjects using the same flexible, student-centred approach.
My aim is to inspire curiosity, foster growth, and help students achieve their goals while cultivating a lifelong love of learning and self-expression.
