About Joseph
I am currently a working teacher on a mission to improve the understanding and enjoyment of physics.
During my career I have pursued theories into the reason for a widening diversity gap within the study of Physics. Consequently, I seek to learn from those I teach and tutor about the barriers that are faced within Physics as a subject.
I hope to learn and improve from my students as much as they learn from me, so I appreciate the opportunity for feedback and happily listen for opportunities to help me improve, helping you improve.

My preference in tutoring is to quickly establish the needs of my students. Understanding what they struggle with is helpful to both myself and them; especially when a student can adequately identify their own needs. In this way I can tailor our time to efficiently work on problem areas and improve across the whole subject.
This could be in one particular topic, or skills that are consistent throughout your physics course.
These metacognitive strategies are developed within my practice as a working classroom teacher. I teach Key Stage 3, GCSE and A-Level Physics in the UK. This is across several exam boards and also includes the IB.
