About Emma
I’m an Irish secondary school teacher currently based in Australia, with a passion for helping students build confidence and succeed in their learning.
I am a qualified teacher in Biology and PDHPE, and I really enjoy working with young people to make learning feel more approachable, engaging, and less overwhelming. I understand that school can sometimes feel stressful or frustrating, so I aim to create a supportive space where students feel comfortable asking questions and developing their understanding at their own pace.
Outside of teaching, I’m a very active and sporty person, which naturally links with my interest in health, well-being, and helping students feel motivated and positive in their learning. I bring a friendly, encouraging, and down-to-earth approach to each lesson, and I genuinely enjoy seeing students grow in both confidence and ability.
Whether a student needs help catching up, preparing for exams, or simply wants extra support, I aim to make lessons clear, enjoyable, and tailored to their individual needs.

I believe tutoring should feel supportive, encouraging, and tailored to the individual student rather than one-size-fits-all. Every student learns differently, so I adapt my teaching style to suit their needs, pace, and confidence level.
My aim is not just to help students get through content, but to help them truly understand it and feel more confident in their own ability. I break topics down clearly, use simple explanations, and create a calm, positive space where students feel comfortable asking questions without pressure or judgement.
I want students to leave lessons feeling clearer, more capable, and more motivated than when they started.
