Hello, my name is Michelle. I am a professional yet fun individual and am highly adaptable to all people and different situations and am passionate about helping people improve their use of English. What do I teach? Conversational small talk ️ Speaking (Fluency and pronunciation) Reading Writing Cambridge Exam preparation for Pre A1 Starters, A1 Movers, A2 Flyers and B1 Preliminary Pre A1 English to children English for Administrative and Office Roles English for Herbalism and Holistic Health Enthusiasts English for Nutrition & Nourishment ️ Work interview preparation General English Techniques on a variety of topics or specific topics of your choice. I am TEFL certified, and I have experience in teaching both adults and children, from many different countries. My teaching style is "Student Centered' and I love to prepare lesson plans tailored to my students’ needs and interest. I have experience tutoring students for Cambridge exams, from ages as young as 4 years old through to adults. Cambridge exam preparations that I focus on are. • Pre A1 Starters (Listening, Reading and Writing, and Speaking) • A1 Movers (Listening, Reading and Writing, and Speaking) • A2 Flyers (Listening, Reading and Writing, and Speaking) • B1 Preliminary (Reading, Writing, Listening, and Speaking) I have tons of material and experience to teach young students who just starting their English journey at a Pre A1 level from 4 years of age to 10 years of age, and it would be my honor to play a part of your child’s English journey from this beginning stage. As a TEFL-certified ESL tutor with over 15 years’ experience in office administration, I specialize in teaching English for the workplace. I help adults improve their communication skills for real office tasks — from writing professional emails to handling client calls with confidence. • Business Communication - Writing clear emails (formal vs informal), making phone calls and taking messages, using polite and professional language, confirming meetings or tasks in writing. • Office Vocabulary - Office equipment (printer, scanner, filing cabinet, etc.), common tasks (filing, scheduling, organizing), departments and job titles etc. • Meeting Skills - Phrases for scheduling/rescheduling, taking and giving meeting minutes, participating in meetings (agreeing/disagreeing politely). • Time Management Language - Talking about deadlines, calendars, and priorities, using phrases like “by the end of the day,” “ahead of schedule,” “running behind,” etc. • Handling Requests & Making Arrangements - Booking travel and accommodation, arranging appointments or deliveries, managing internal and external communications. • Customer Service English - Greeting clients, answering inquiries, handling complaints diplomatically. • Document and File Management - talking about spreadsheets, databases, or filing systems, describing how to store, organize, and retrieve documents. • Onboarding Language - Explaining processes to new employees, giving basic office tours or instructions in English. • Telephone English & Virtual Meeting Etiquette - Role-playing for online meetings and calls, answering the phone professionally, taking and leaving voice messages. • Workplace Etiquette & Small Talk - Making small talk in a business setting, being polite and culturally aware in a global office In addition to teaching workplace and conversational English, I also offer English lessons with a focus on natural health and wellness. I hold certifications in Herbalism, Advanced Herbalism, and Nutrition & Nourishment. If you're passionate about holistic health or are working in the wellness field, I can help you build your English fluency through specialized information and vocabulary, reading materials, and conversations tailored to these topics. English for Herbalism • Common herbs and their uses • Herbal Classifications (adaptogens, relaxants, diuretics, etc.) • Natural remedies for ailments (Herbs and their many uses, Aromatherapy, Bach Flower remedies etc.) • Preparing herbal teas, tinctures, decoctions, salves etc. (language-based instructions) • Vocabulary: “anti-inflammatory,” “immune support,” “tonics,” etc. English for Nutrition & Nourishment • Food groups, vitamins, and nutrients • Body systems • Healthy meals and diets + recipes • Reading food labels and ingredient lists • Vocabulary: “whole foods,” “macronutrients,” “gut health,” etc. ️Having worked in a recruitment agency in the past and having been in managerial positions having to hire staff, I would be happy to help you prepare for work interviews as I know what employers will be looking for.
