About Raveena
I'm currently working as a Secondary Maths teacher. Previously I worked as a qualified chartered accountant who, after spending time tutoring as a volunteer with the Access Project, realised how much I loved it and decided to pursue teaching full time. I have now been tutoring for some years, and have recently joined superprof. I'm currently a secondary school maths teacher, having completed my PGCE in secondary maths teaching with King's College London. I have several years' experience both working and volunteering as a tutor and as a maths teacher in both the independent and state sector. I have a history of academic excellence, having achieved first class with honours in my degree, and all A*s and As in my A Levels and GCSEs. I am also DBS certified.

I tutor from primary all the way up to A Level Maths and Physics, including Further Maths. As well as regular weekly tutorials helping with homework, revision, or going over topics you find tricky, I can also offer intensive catch up or exam prep courses tailored to your needs. As a professional secondary school teacher, I have in-depth knowledge of the various exam boards and syllabi, as well as what students will need to do to get the highest possible marks in their exams. Whether it be a totally new topic, revision of something you've studied before or homework help, I approach each topic by breaking it down into bite-size, easy to understand steps. I ensure that each step is understood, before combining what we've learned so far and applying this to more complicated problems. I also love to explain the real-world applications of what we're learning - I won't have any of my students asking the dreaded "when will I ever use this?".
