About Nicola
I am a fully qualified Mathematics teacher with experience teaching secondary school students across a range of abilities and year levels. I am passionate about mathematics and enjoy helping students develop both their understanding and confidence in the subject.
I believe every student can succeed with the right support and approach. I am a patient and encouraging teacher who takes the time to understand how each student learns best. If a concept is proving difficult, I will explain it in different ways until it makes sense, helping students build strong foundations and develop effective problem-solving skills.

Every lesson is tailored to the individual student and their learning goals. I focus on building understanding, confidence, and problem-solving skills in a supportive and encouraging environment. Lessons can help with classroom learning, assessment preparation, exam revision, strengthening key foundations, or tackling specific areas of difficulty. Whether a student is looking to improve their grades, prepare for important exams, or simply gain confidence in mathematics, I adapt my teaching to suit their needs and learning style.
Lessons are typically 45 minutes to one hour in length, dependent on the student, providing ample time to review previous learning, explore new concepts, work through practice questions, and address any challenges the student may be facing. My aim is to help students reach their full potential, feel more confident in their abilities, and develop a positive approach to mathematics that will support them both in school and beyond.
