About Afiya Anjum
My name is Afiya Anjum and I am a Mathematics teacher based in Ajman, UAE.
Teaching is not something I fell into — it is something I chose deliberately, and I choose it again every single day.
I grew up understanding that Mathematics has an unfair reputation. I became a math teacher specifically to challenge that belief. I have seen, time and again, that there is no such thing as a student who fears Math. There are only students who have not yet met the right teacher at the right moment.
If you are a student who has given up on Math, or a parent watching your child struggle and lose confidence — I want you to know that this is exactly who I teach. You are not too far behind. It is never too late. And with the right support, Mathematics can become the subject your child is most proud of.
