About Gurpreet
I enjoy teaching mathematics and seeing pupils succeed. Mathematics is all around us in our daily lives and is a key component in various fields such as engineering, finance, science and everyday business. It is also a very difficult subject that people find challenging. As a teacher I break mathematics down into small steps that allow pupils to understand the principles at hand to build a wide knowledge of mathematics. This allows for pupils to progress at a steady rate building their overall knowledge and confidence. In the process mathematics becomes easier allowing pupils to succeed and build their overall confidence in mathematics.

I provide a structured and detailed teaching approach that builds the confidence of pupils. The first step is to gain a strong foundational understanding of mathematics. This then leads to a strong understanding of various subjects across the curriculum.
Alongside this I begin to prepare pupils for exams/assessments in advance which allows pupils to improve their overall results. I try to make lessons engaging and link them to real life scenarios so that pupils gain an improved understanding of the lesson at hand.
