About Jane

Born and educated in Shanghai, China, I developed a passion for language, education, and Chinese culture from an early age. I became a qualified Mandarin Chinese teacher and have dedicated more than 20 years to teaching, mentoring, and helping students achieve their full potential.

I have taught Mandarin Chinese in China and the UK and have over 10 years of experience preparing students for GCSE and A-Level Chinese examinations. I am also an experienced GCSE and A-Level Chinese Speaking Examiner, giving me a deep understanding of exam requirements, assessment criteria, and the techniques needed to achieve top grades.

About the lesson

Over the past 20 years, I have created a unique Mandarin Success work based on my experience as a teacher, tutor, and GCSE/A-Level Chinese Speaking Examiner. This structured yet flexible approach helps students master the Chinese language, develop confidence in communication, and excel in examinations. More importantly, it encourages independent learning, cultural understanding, and a genuine enjoyment of the language. My goal is not only to help students achieve top grades, but also to inspire a lifelong appreciation of Mandarin Chinese.
