About Setareh
Hello! My name is Setareh, I am 33 years old and currently live in London. I am originally from Iran and moved to the UK when I was younger. Having gone through the experience of learning and mastering English myself, I understand the challenges that language learners can face. Today, I am fully fluent in English, and I am passionate about helping others build their confidence and achieve their language goals.
Alongside my TEFL qualification, I have professional experience working in both marketing and mental health services. These roles have helped me develop strong communication skills, cultural awareness, empathy, and the ability to connect with people from a wide range of backgrounds.
I enjoy meeting new people, learning about different cultures, and supporting students on their language-learning journey. My own experience as an immigrant and language learner allows me to relate to many of the challenges students face, and I strive to create a positive and encouraging learning environment where they can feel comfortable and motivated to succeed.

As a qualified TEFL Level 5 teacher with experience teaching learners from primary school age through to university students, I understand that every student has different needs, goals, and learning styles. My lessons are therefore tailored to each individual learner rather than following a one-size-fits-all approach.
I aim to create engaging, supportive, and interactive lessons that help students build confidence while developing their language skills. Depending on the student's age, level, and objectives, lessons may focus on conversation, grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, exam preparation, academic English, or general communication skills.
For younger learners, I use creative and enjoyable activities to maintain motivation and encourage participation. For university students and adult learners, I focus on practical language use, critical thinking, and achieving their academic or professional goals.
I believe the most effective learning takes place when lessons are adapted to what works best for the individual student. By identifying each learner's strengths, challenges, and preferred learning methods, I can create lessons that are both productive and enjoyable, helping them achieve their full potential.
