About George

I am a highly qualified educator with a decade of professional experience in both the Australian and British education systems. My pedagogical approach is built upon a solid academic foundation: I hold a degree in History and Classics from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, followed by postgraduate studies at the University of West London.

Throughout my 10-year career, I have taught Latin, Ancient Greek, Classical Civilization, and History to students across the globe. My experience spans both one-on-one private tutoring around the world and as a school teacher in the UK teaching in British schools

Currently, I serve as Head of Classics in a British school—a position I have held for the past three years. This leadership role has deepened my ability to design high-level curricula and support students in achieving their academic potential, whether they are navigating school exams or pursuing advanced university-level studies. I am passionate about making the ancient world accessible, engaging, and relevant for every student I teach.

About the lesson

As a qualified teacher with 10 years of experience, I offer comprehensive, result-driven support for students at all academic levels. My teaching style is flexible and focused on your success.
Experienced in preparing students for VCE and IB exams

My methodology includes:
Modern Technology: I use PowerPoint presentations and digital tools to create a dynamic, visual learning experience that makes complex topics easier to grasp.

Interactive Notes: Custom-designed resources provided for every lesson to simplify challenging grammar and syntax.

Step-by-Step Scaffolding: I break down complex concepts into manageable, logical steps to build your confidence.

Continuous Feedback: Real-time guidance during sessions to refine your translation technique and understanding.

Post-Lesson Support: Every lesson concludes with a summary and targeted homework to ensure consistent progress and efficient revision.

VCE Prep: Tailored support for Victorian students. I help you master school-assessed coursework (SACs/SATs) and optimize your final exam performance to maximize your Study Scores and ATAR.
