About Kirara

Hi! I’m Kirara, a native Japanese speaker from Japan currently living in Melbourne, Australia.

Before moving to Australia, I worked as an elementary school teacher in Japan for four years. I hold a professional teaching license and have experience helping students with different learning styles and abilities.

I came to Australia on a Working Holiday to improve my English, experience different cultures, and challenge myself. As a language learner myself, I understand that learning a new language can be exciting but also difficult at times. That’s why I always try to create a relaxed and supportive learning environment.

I enjoy meeting people from different backgrounds, traveling, taking photos, and trying new food. I look forward to getting to know you and helping you achieve your Japanese learning goals!

About the lesson

Hi! I’m a native Japanese speaker from Japan and a former elementary school teacher with four years of teaching experience. I now live in Melbourne and would love to help you learn Japanese in a fun and supportive way.

I welcome students of all levels, from complete beginners to advanced learners. Whether you’re learning Japanese for travel, work, school, the JLPT, or simply because you love Japanese culture, I’ll create lessons that match your goals and learning style.

My lessons can focus on conversation, pronunciation, grammar, reading and writing (hiragana, katakana, and kanji), or everyday expressions used by native speakers. I can also prepare personalized materials and homework if you’d like.

As a qualified teacher, I’m patient and experienced in explaining difficult ideas in simple ways. My goal is to help you feel confident and enjoy learning at your own pace. Making mistakes is a natural part of learning, so don’t worry!

I look forward to meeting you and helping you on your Japanese learning journey!

I have extensive experience teaching children, but I also enjoy working with teenagers and adults. I believe learning should always be engaging, encouraging, and adapted to each student’s needs.
