About Florenzia
Ciao, I’m Florenzia, Flo for my students.
I’m an Italian teacher based in Italy, and my interest in teaching languages began while I was living in Sydney. Being a language learner myself taught me how much courage it can take to start speaking, especially when you’re worried about making mistakes.
I studied Interlinguistic and Intercultural Mediation and completed a specialist Master FILIS in teaching Italian to speakers of other languages. I’ve worked with learners from different cultural backgrounds, and I enjoy finding the right way to help each person make progress.
My lessons are a welcoming space to ask questions, practice and grow more confident.
Whether Italian is a new interest or already part of your story, I’d be glad to help you make it your own.

I teach Italian through real conversations and situations that matter to you.
In our first lesson, we’ll talk about your goal, your current level and the topics you enjoy, thanks to a specific form. From there, I’ll build a learning path around you, with a balance of speaking, listening, vocabulary and grammar you can actually use.
You can choose a general Italian course or a themed pathway: Italian for travel and everyday life, to enter Italian business world or Academic path, or to explore your heritage and family’s Italian roots through language, places and traditions.
Lessons are practical and interactive, and you’ll start speaking from the beginning. I adapt the pace and materials to the way you learn.
A typical lesson lasts 55 minutes. I work with adult learners from beginner to advanced level, including people who have studied Italian before but want to feel more confident speaking it.
I hold a degree in Interlinguistic and Intercultural Mediation and a specialist Master FILIS in teaching Italian to speakers of other languages.
I have taught Italian to learners from different cultural backgrounds (and different systems I would say!!) and have experience designing personalized learning activities.
I teach live online from Italy.

My rate is AUD 60 for a 60-minute online lesson.
We begin by mapping your current Italian skills, goals and interests, so I can design a learning path that makes sense for you.
You can choose a themed path such as:
- Italian for your travel.
- Everyday conversation.
- Italian for work and business.
- Heritage: reconnecting with your Italian heritage through language and culture.
- Academic Italian.
- Movies and cultural references.
Each lesson includes activities and materials tailored to your level.
There are no additional fees for learning materials.
