About Sophie
Having struggled at school myself before achieving top grades at GCSE, A-Level, and university, I understand that every learner's journey is different. I had an English Tutor at school to help with reading and writing and it was one of the best things I ever did. I gained a huge amount of confidence and have carried this and my love of reading and writing with me for the rest of my life!

I have experience teaching and supporting students of varying abilities, helping them build confidence, improve their skills, and achieve their academic goals.
Whether you're looking for support with GCSEs, A-Levels, essay writing, reading comprehension, exam preparation, or simply building confidence in English, I tailor every lesson to your individual needs. My teaching style is flexible, supportive, and designed to help students progress at a pace that works for them.
Alongside teaching, I work part-time in a bookshop specialising in children's literature and classics. I love helping students discover books they genuinely enjoy and bringing that enthusiasm for reading into our sessions.
I am passionate about creating a positive, encouraging learning environment where students feel comfortable sharing ideas, asking questions, and developing their confidence. English should be engaging and enjoyable, and I strive to make every lesson both productive and rewarding.
