About Helen
I have a Master of Education, specializing in English and Humanities, although I have experience teaching students from K-12 across all key learning areas. Prior to teaching, I worked in immigration and refugee law so I have a keen interest in teaching legal studies too.
I have spent nearly 10 years working with non-governmental organizations, schools, and universities with the mission to help raise tertiary aspirations of students from disadvantaged backgrounds because high-quality education should be accessible regardless of who you are or where you come from.
My teaching style is flexible and adaptable - tailored to the interests and learning needs of individuals, so they can truly get the most out of every lesson. It also helps make learning more fun for both myself and the student. I also love feedback so if you have any thoughts on how I can improve, or make learning more engaging, I love to hear it!
