About Charlie
Hey there :)
My name is Charlie and I am an aspiring musician forging a career in the industry. Performing and composing music has been my passion from a young age; to that extent I play in various groups, mixing genres like Funk, Jazz, Blues and Rock at prestigious venues all over London such as The Dome, The Lexington, O2 Academy Brixton, Scala, The Social, Shacklewell Arms, and The George Tavern.
I am a self-taught bassist, but I have gained an innate understanding of techniques, musicality and a deep knowledge of music theory having gained a Diploma with distinction from BIMM Institute London. I pride myself on my ability to inspire and instil confidence in others, whether you're a complete beginner or an intermediate player.

Creating a positive and friendly atmosphere in my lessons is very important to me. I know that developing your skills in a creative pursuit such as music requires an environment where you feel comfortable and ready to learn. I will always strive to connect with my students on a personal level before diving into any techniques!
I aim to tailor each lesson to your personal needs - whether you want to learn walking bass and slap or scales and triads, or you just want to learn your favourite song, I can work around each individual student and set goals that they can achieve in a reasonable time frame based on their current ability level.
My lessons consist of a warm-up (the most important part!), and then a shift to whatever technique we're focusing on. It could be a new chord, solo technique, or anything else relevant to your level. I bring enthusiasm to all my lessons to make them fun and never too challenging. :)
