I am a professionally trained secondary school teacher with a master’s degree in science education and over six years of teaching experience in both India and New Zealand. I specialize in Chemistry and junior Science, and I am currently completing a postgraduate teaching qualification in Aotearoa to align with the New Zealand Curriculum and its values. Teaching is more than just a profession for me — it is a passion. I believe every student has the potential to succeed when learning is made meaningful and accessible. About the lesson

As a qualified and passionate secondary Chemistry teacher with a master’s in science education and classroom experience in both India and New Zealand, I offer engaging and supportive tutoring tailored to each student’s needs. My approach is student-centred and inquiry-based, encouraging learners to think critically, ask questions, and make connections between science concepts and real-life contexts.

Lessons typically run for 60 minutes and include a mix of visual explanations, hands-on tasks, past paper practice, and personalised feedback. I adapt my methods depending on the learner’s pace, strengths, and goals—whether they are building confidence in junior science or aiming for excellence in NCEA Level 1–3 Chemistry.

I incorporate active discussion, problem-solving strategies, and cultural responsiveness, including Māori perspectives where appropriate, to help learners find meaning and relevance in science. I also use small assessments and exit slips to check understanding and guide next steps.

These lessons are ideal for high school students from Year 9 to Year 13 who need support with Chemistry and general Science, especially those preparing for NCEA exams. I strive to create a safe, respectful, and motivating environment where learners feel encouraged to grow.
