I am a qualified Chartered Accountant with memberships in CAANZ and SAICA, with several years of professional experience in accounting and finance. I take a practical, step-by-step approach to tutoring, focused on helping students truly understand accounting rather than just memorizing rules. My goal is to simplify concepts like debits and credits, financial statements, and adjustments so they make logical sense and can be applied confidently in exams and assignments.
Each session is typically one hour. We usually start by identifying the areas you find most challenging, then work through examples together before you attempt similar questions with guidance. I place a strong emphasis on exam technique, structure, and understanding how marks are awarded, particularly for NCEA and first-year university courses.
I am a qualified Chartered Accountant with memberships in CAANZ and SAICA, with professional experience in accounting and finance. This allows me to explain not only how things work academically, but also provide real-world context where helpful—while still keeping explanations aligned with your course requirements.
Lessons are suitable for high school students (NCEA Levels 2 and 3 Accounting) as well as first-year university students. I also welcome adult learners who are new to accounting or looking to build a solid foundation.
