About Elizabeth
I am currently training to teach secondary science, and will be gaining qualified teacher status in June 2020. I also have previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant, supporting pupils with SEN needs to access a mainstream education.
My specialist subject is Biology, in which I have a First Class degree from the University of Birmingham.
I'm offering tuition in Biology, Chemistry and Physics up to GCSE level and Biology at A-Level.

I aim to inspire within pupils a curiosity and passion for science, focusing on the applications of Science learnt in school to the broader world.
My teaching methods focus on tailoring the scheme of work to meet the needs of pupils. In a first lesson, I will discuss with a pupil their aims for the course and help them to achieve their goals.
For Key Stage 3 pupils, I teach topics which can inspire curiosity and investigation, setting investigative work that pupils can complete independently between lessons in order to develop inquiry skills which sit at the centre of science.
For pupils studying towards GCSE or A level examinations, I work systematically with the pupils to ensure that they can achieve the best in their exams, by ensuring they have a firm understanding of the scientific content which will be assessed, as well as equipping pupils with the literacy and exam-technique skills to succeed.
