About Chantelle
I am a qualified English teacher with a BA in Media, Communications and Languages and a PGCE with English as my major. I have 17 years of teaching experience, including many years working with ESL students from different backgrounds and ability levels. I am patient, supportive, and focused on helping students grow in confidence as well as skill. I believe learning works best when students feel encouraged, understood, and motivated, and I always aim to create a calm, positive learning environment. I take pride in being professional, well-prepared, and genuinely invested in my students’ progress and success.

My lessons are friendly, structured, and focused on helping students build real confidence in English. I hold a BA in Media, Communication and Languages and a PGCE with English as my major, and I have 17 years of teaching experience, including extensive work with ESL students. This means I understand how to explain English clearly and simply, step by step, in a way that makes learning feel achievable rather than overwhelming.
I teach using clear explanations, guided practice, and plenty of opportunities to apply skills in speaking, reading, and writing. Each lesson is tailored to the student’s level and goals, whether they need support with school English, exam preparation (O Level/IGCSE), or improving everyday communication.
A typical lesson starts with a short warm-up or review, followed by focused skill work (such as writing, comprehension, or language use), and ends with feedback and practical strategies to improve. I break learning into manageable steps so students can see steady progress and build confidence.
What sets me apart is my experience, patience, and supportive, results-focused approach. I aim to make lessons encouraging, motivating, and effective, while building strong foundations in English that students can use both in exams and in real life.
