About Leah
I am an experienced English tutor with a degree in Law and an A-Level in English Language and Literature, as well as over four years’ experience working with children and young people. I am also a parent myself, which gives me a strong understanding of the challenges students and families face around learning, confidence, and exam pressure. I have experience supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and adapt my teaching style to suit different learning needs, abilities, and confidence levels. My approach is calm, patient, and structured, with a focus on helping students feel supported while making steady, measurable progress. I specialise in GCSE and A-Level English, essay writing, comprehension, and exam technique. I place particular emphasis on helping students understand how to approach questions, structure their responses clearly, and develop confidence in their written work. Each lesson is tailored to the individual student, whether they need additional support, confidence-building, or focused exam preparation. I aim to create a positive and encouraging learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and developing their skills at their own pace.
