My teaching approach is structured and student-centred. I take time to understand each learner by reviewing teachers’ reports, prior attainment, and by sampling work, allowing me to tailor support effectively. Students receive regular homework, alongside clear and constructive feedback to support improvement and build confidence.
Lessons typically focus on close engagement with core texts and guided exam-question preparation. I use a wide range of visual and written resources (Power Point Presentations, documents and sample answers) to support understanding and help students achieve strong results.
I have experience as an official examiner for Irish State Examinations, including Leaving Certificate Higher Level.
