About Maurizio
Hi, I’m Maurizio. I have 15+ years in the visual effects industry, working on major film productions — including the team behind Disney’s The Jungle Book (2016), which won the Academy Award for Best Visual Effects. Alongside my production work, I developed tools in Python and C++ used within the pipeline. Full credits on IMDb under Maurizio Di Vitto. I now work in software, still using Python daily.
I teach because I enjoy the moment when a student stops copying syntax and starts thinking like a programmer.

Hi, I’m Maurizio. I teach Python — from complete beginners to GCSE and A-Level Computer Science students focused on the programming component of their exams.
My background: 15+ years in the visual effects industry, working on major film productions. Alongside that, I developed tools in Python and C++ used within the production pipeline. I was part of the visual effects team for Disney’s The Jungle Book (2016) — Oscar winner for Best Visual Effects. Full credits on IMDb under Maurizio Di Vitto. I now work in software, still using Python daily.
That mix — real programming problems on major productions, then a shift into software — shapes how I teach. I focus on fundamentals: writing clear code, understanding what it’s actually doing, debugging when it doesn’t, and breaking messy problems into small, solvable steps. That builds real confidence, not just syntax memorisation.
What I offer:
