About Mary Ann (Annie)
I have a B.A. in English from Beloit College and an M.F.A. in Writing from Columbia University School of the Arts, have published in Redbook, and written freelance arts reviews. I have tutored with Smart Alec in the NYC area, have been successful in tutoring for AP English, and for the SATs, and am qualified to teach high school English in the state of New Jersey. I'm very good at diagnosing what particular issues with students' understanding are obstructing their way to test success, and also enjoy cultivating students' creativity.
