About Sandra
I have been teaching in classrooms in many different schools. I began in elementary grades and later taught writing and art history in universities. For the past 20 years I have taught students privately to help them with many subjects. These include Writing, History, Literature, Reading, test-taking (SAT/ACT/TOEFL), art, and Language Arts. Because I have published my writing, I understand how to bring out the best talent in young people.

I am Ms. Sandy, a career teacher who loves to inspire my students to write better than they ever have. We work remotely-- in goggle docs. Sometimes we write together on the same page; sometimes we learn new strategies. I make writing easier and entertaining. I build confidence and become a writing partner who is always there for my students--for homework help as well as general writing improvement. Some students work with me for many years. They love getting A's.

Details
My rate includes free progress reports with parents and guardians. In addition to time spent online together, I create and print lessons for students that focus on specific skills that I find lacking when students write. I also send free writing books that I have written (available on Amazon). Often, students need help between their weekly lessons, and I always make time for them.
