About Sam
I am an English graduate with an ESL qualification and a book of poems for sale on both sides of the Atlantic. I have a very good grounding in the canon of English literature and a personal interest in language and grammar. I know a little of the history of the English language and am also somewhat well-versed in French literature and the Classics. I am very enthusiastic when it comes to my areas of interest. I would be particularly well-placed to teach you to read, write, or appreciate poetry or to understand Shakespeare.

For my part, conversations and in-depth investigation of the source material would be key, along with repartee and engagement with your ideas about whatever we are discussing. I will try to teach you to appreciate things for what they are in your own experience, not just what has already been said about them by others. We will try to promote original, creative thinking that gets us closer to the truth about the world and ourselves.
