About Morgan

Unfortunately, many students either a) don’t love the subject, or b) are uninspired by their teaching environment. It’s not surprising when schools often forget there is an individual behind the examination paper.

My approach to tutoring is simple and follows 3 principles:

1. Understand the student: their wants, needs, and aspirations.
2. Develop a holistic plan to realise the above.
3. Deliver results.

Examiners want to give full marks, we just have to unlock the key things needed for them to do so through understanding, structure, and application. I use a mix of resources in my lessons to suit the individual student. For example, lessons include a mixture of working sessions, examination questions, and interactive models, all underpinned by interaction with me to make sure the understanding is there. I also then like to follow up with set questions and exam questions to ensure the above has been understood and can be demonstrated. All of the above is tailored to the student to ensure the best results possible.

About the lesson

- About Me:

I am a published researcher at the University of Bristol with 4 years tutoring experience across the breadth and depth of the Geosciences. Students consistently achieve outstanding results (7-9’s at GCSE, and A/A*s at A’Level) or show considerable progress vs when they start with me (at least 2 grades higher). I have a valid DBS check that I am happy to share ahead of any commitment.

- Which Subjects Do You Teach?

I teach Geography, Geology, and Environmental Science at GCSE & A’Level. I also teach Law at A’Level.

- Qualifications:

A* in A’Level Geography and Law.
First Class BSc. (Hons) Degree in Geosciences from the University of Bristol.
Published Author in the Geosciences post-graduating University.

- How much do you charge?

I charge £30 an hour.

- Where do you teach?

I typically teach virtually, however, I am able to travel within South London if preferred.
If virtual I teach over WhatsApp, Skype, Microsoft Teams or Zoom.
Lessons are typically 60 minutes.

- When are you available?

I am available 7 days a week, across both term time and holidays. Sessions usually take place 5pm – 6pm or 6pm – 7pm on weekdays and can take place anytime on the weekend.
I will work a bespoke plan that fits around you once enrolled.
