Teaching Method and Techniques:
Personalized Learning: I believe in adapting my teaching style to the unique needs and goals of each student. Understanding their strengths, weaknesses, and learning preferences allows me to create a customized learning experience.
Engagement through Discussion: Active engagement is key to learning. I encourage open discussions to explore literary themes, analyze texts, and develop persuasive arguments for essays and literary analysis.
Close Reading: For literature and poetry, I emphasize the importance of close reading. We dissect texts, poems, and passages to uncover hidden meanings, symbolism, and literary devices.
Structured Feedback: Constructive feedback is essential for improvement. I provide detailed feedback on essays and assignments, highlighting areas for improvement and offering actionable suggestions.
Creative Exercises: To nurture creativity in writing and interpretation, I incorporate creative writing exercises and prompts to inspire students to think outside the box.
Resource Recommendations: I suggest additional reading materials, literary works, and online resources to expand a student's knowledge base and deepen their understanding.
