About Nivita
It's a common origin story to say that I've been writing and reading since I can remember, but it's true. I've gone from writing horror-gore short stories in elementary school, to composing poetry and song lyrics, to initiating an English program in a school in Karnataka, to working as a blog writer, to helping local students with college essays, to publishing a book, to editing for a literary journal, to graduating with an honors in writing.
I have a significant knowledge base in literature, experience in learning and teaching languages, connections within writing and publishing, and a passionate belief that writing is a necessary skill for everyone to have, and a skill everyone is capable of!
It's not easy to learn—it's a process that takes effort and courage, sometimes more than we have. I've been through many difficult and disabling lows as a student, and I carry the empathy and awareness of those experiences with me to every learning space.

And I believe in focusing on that individualization through a collaborative approach, where we work together to identify the goals you have set and how we can achieve them.
These goals can be anything from wanting to improve your writing, to learning the basics of English grammar, to working on your college essay, to editing and proofreading your work. I'm here to help!
My goal is to help you move forward in your writing journey no matter what, and to make the difficult or daunting things easier and accessible (and fun!).
In my experiences with teaching fiction writing, English to non-English speaking students, college essay writing, etc., I have learned the importance of individual focus, keen collaboration, and constant adapting. This is how I approach any student, and what I bring to any learning space.
