About Shannon
I am a student at the University of South Carolina and have been involved in the Peer Tutoring program for 3 years. I facilitate one-on-one tutoring appointments for an average of 10 students per week in general chemistry and organic chemistry. I took 4 chemistry classes and the labs throughout my time at USC and made A's in them. I encourage my students to work hard in class and outside of class, and they have achieved great grades in the subject matter.

I am a structured, personable, and patient tutor who has 3 years experience giving lessons to high school and college students. My approach is to establish a baseline of what the student knows, and essentially start from the beginning. I come prepared to each session with relevant examples, study tips, and problem solving techniques to help them be successful. I teach through drawings and assigning practice problems for the students to try themselves and help them when needed. I am confident in my ability to help others and share my knowledge on the subjects I am passionate about.
