About Alicja

MSc Psychology graduate with experience in teaching, academic support, and student guidance. I help learners across high school, college, and undergraduate levels build confidence in psychology and academic skills. I offer clear, structured support with understanding course material, planning essays, developing proposals or theses, preparing presentations, and approaching a wide range of assessments.

About the lesson

Hi, I am Alicja. I tutor psychology and Polish in a calm, friendly, and very down-to-earth way. Most students who work with me want support with understanding their subjects and feeling ready for assessments. I enjoy helping people make sense of complex topics, stay organised, and build confidence with their work. I take time to explain things clearly, and I like talking ideas through together. If something still feels confusing, we try a different angle. There is no pressure or judgement in my lessons, only steady and honest progress. What I Help With I am especially good at supporting different types of assessments, including: • Planning and structuring essays • Writing reports, including research methods, results, and discussion • Preparing presentations and creating a clear storyline for slides • Practising delivery and building confidence • Revision planning and exam technique • Understanding theories, studies, and key research • Improving academic writing and critical evaluation • Receiving feedback that is practical, gentle, and useful My goal is to make assessments feel manageable, not overwhelming. How I Teach • Clear explanations without unnecessary jargon • Guided discussion to help you understand topics deeply • Step-by-step support for essays, exams, and presentations • A calm and patient atmosphere where questions are always welcome • An individual approach for each student, because people learn in different ways I teach with empathy, structure, and a little humour to make learning more enjoyable. Lesson Length Most lessons last 60 minutes, although longer sessions can be arranged during busy assessment periods. My Background I hold a BSc in Psychology and an MSc in Psychology of Mental Health and Wellbeing, both accredited by the British Psychological Society. I have experience in teaching, peer education, and one to one support. I have also taught English and Polish for several years, which has helped me develop an approachable, personalised teaching style. I am a native Polish speaker and an advanced English speaker. I understand how challenging learning a language can be, and I always create a supportive environment for practice.
