About Megan

Psychology Tutor | GCSE & A-Level | Friendly, Supportive & Personalised Hi! I’m Meg, a Psychology graduate currently completing an MSc in Brain and Behaviour. I have a strong academic background in Psychology, alongside several years of experience working in education, teaching and tutoring students of different ages and abilities. I have experience teaching Psychology and Criminology across Key Stages 3–5, as well as providing one-to-one tutoring in English, Maths and Science. I particularly enjoy helping students build confidence in subjects they may initially find difficult or overwhelming. My tutoring style is friendly, patient and personalised. I don’t believe in simply giving students information to memorise — I want you to understand why something works and feel confident explaining it yourself. What I can help with * GCSE Psychology * A-Level Psychology * Psychology revision and exam preparation * Essay planning and improving written answers * Understanding difficult theories and research studies * Exam technique and how to structure answers * General study and revision skills * GCSE English * GCSE Science For Psychology students, I can particularly help with areas such as biological psychology, cognitive psychology, research methods, social psychology, psychopathology and biopsychology. Every session will be adapted to your individual needs. Whether you’re struggling with a particular topic, preparing for an exam or simply want to improve your confidence and grades, we’ll work together to identify what you need and create a plan from there. I’m currently available for online sessions and can offer flexible evening and weekend appointments. Qualifications: • BSc (Hons) Psychology — 2:1 • MSc Brain and Behaviour — currently completing • Experience teaching Psychology and Criminology • Experience providing one-to-one tutoring • Experience supporting children and young people in educational and wellbeing settings I’m looking forward to helping you feel more confident in Psychology

About the lesson

I use a combination of visual learning, active recall and memory techniques to help students understand and retain information. I adapt each lesson to suit the individual student and explain concepts in different ways if something isn’t clear the first time. I’m patient and happy to revisit topics as many times as needed, while using examples, diagrams, practice questions and discussion to make learning engaging and effective. My aim is not just for students to memorise information, but to genuinely understand it and feel confident applying their knowledge independently.
