About Linda
I am a college student majoring in Psychology and Community Trauma Counseling at Thomas Jefferson University. I have worked with the Free Library of Philadelphia as a Teen Literacy Coach and a Teen Leadership Assistant from 2015-2017 where one of my main responsibilities was providing homework help to children K-12.

I believe that you can only understand material as well as you understand the components that it is made up of. Everything is interconnected. Even "original" ideas are influenced by something else. So when it comes to teaching, I tend to teach by showing the material visually and provide a lot of examples that showcase different scenarios that can play out when it comes to problem solving because I've found that students tend to stick to following patterns and formulas as opposed to actually understanding why they must employ a certain theory over another. I also give acronyms or what I call "short names" to denser concepts, which make them easier to remember. I employ a lot of repetition as well in order to reinforce ideas.
