About Jennifer
I am a graduate from Cornell University currently pursuing my Master of Social Work. I took many courses on biology, chemistry, neuroscience, and psychology in my undergraduate career that provided me with a robust foundation in scientific education. I have tutored students in middle and high school in a variety of subjects, including chemistry and history. I was a Teaching Assistant at Cornell in a course on relational psychology that had over 1,000 students. Further, I was a Teaching Assistant at Five Points Correctional Facility, where I composed lesson plans and delivered content and detailed feedback to incarcerated students pursuing college degrees. I come from a family of teachers and have always enjoyed the pedagogical process, and I am really looking forward to working with more students to enrich their educational experiences and make difficult topics more approachable.

I like to tailor my lessons to individual students' needs, as learning styles are vastly different student to student. I like to provide enriching activities that aid with problem solving, such as worksheets to fill in together and brief quizzes. I give comprehensive feedback and I am happy to repeat concepts for as long as a student needs. I can provide short lectures about broader concepts if that fits a students' needs. Student-centered learning is a model I thoroughly adhere to.
