About Katie
When it comes to reading, I believe anyone can do it and learn it. It doesn't matter if you learn it during the latter part of your life or you have a high reading level at 10 years old. Anyone can learn to read and find ways to improve their reading.

When teaching children how to read, I first get an assessment of their reading and pronunciation level. Then I create a plan for them to advance their skills. I will usually let my students read books they like whether it is romance, mystery, etc. My lessons are welcome to children who are wanting to advance their literary skills or are in need of some extra help.
