About Jereece Paten
My name is Jereece, and I am a dedicated and approachable tutor who enjoys helping students build their confidence and achieve their academic goals.
I offer online tutoring for high school students, with a focus on English and science subjects. I understand that every student learns differently, so I adapt my lessons to suit each student’s individual needs, learning style and level of understanding.
My lessons are structured, engaging and interactive. I focus on explaining concepts clearly and simply, working through examples, answering questions and using practice activities to make sure students understand the work rather than simply memorising it. I aim to create a supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes as part of the learning process.

My approach to tutoring is patient, supportive, and focused on helping students understand concepts rather than simply memorising information. I adapt my teaching style to suit each student’s individual learning needs and use clear explanations, examples, practice questions, and interactive discussions to make lessons engaging. What makes me unique as a tutor is my ability to explain difficult concepts in a simple and understandable way while creating a comfortable environment where students feel confident to ask questions.
I am proficient in English and can conduct lessons entirely in English. I offer tutoring in English and science subjects, including Biology/Life Sciences and other science-related subjects at high school level.
A typical lesson will begin by identifying the student’s areas of difficulty and reviewing previous work. We will then work through the relevant concepts step-by-step, followed by examples and practice questions to ensure the student understands the material. I also encourage students to ask questions and actively participate throughout the lesson.
My lessons are mainly aimed at high school students who need additional academic support, help understanding challenging topics, preparation for tests and examinations, or assistance with homework and assignments. I welcome students of different ability levels and adjust the pace and difficulty of each lesson according to their needs.
