About Sean
I have been teaching since 2001 and over that time have taught thousands of individuals to GCSE and A level standard. I am deeply interested in the psychology of learning and memory and have conducted research on this as part of my Postgraduate Diploma in Psychology with the Open University. I use this experience to teach students not just course content, but how to engage in the learning process by reorganising the information presented in order to increase understanding and therefore memory. I also find many students enjoy using image based memory techniques to "zip" a large amount of information into compound images for ease of recall. I am also an experienced practitioner of Mindfulness meditation and neuro-linguistic programming (NLP) and have taught these techniques when helpful.

I am a secondary 11-18 teacher of all 3 Sciences to KS3 and 4 and of KS4 and 5 Psychology. I have been teaching for seventeen years across all ability ranges. I use my research into memory and learning techniques from my Psychology studies to adapt and develop my teaching style to the needs of the learner.
