About Emma
I am a psychology postgraduate with an MSc in Developmental Psychopathology and over six years' experience across NHS, private, and research settings. I have supported children, young people, and adults, including neurodivergent learners and those with complex needs. Alongside this, I am completing part-time postgraduate training in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) to become a CBT Therapist in the future, strengthening my ability to explain concepts clearly and apply real-world examples. My approach is evidence-based, neuroaffirmative, and strengths-focused, aiming not only to improve understanding but also to build confidence and motivation. Students can expect a professional, supportive, and engaging learning environment where their individual needs are valued and met. Outside of tutoring, I enjoy baking and running, which help me bring creativity, balance, and energy into my work.

My lessons are tailored to each student’s needs and learning style. I break down complex psychological concepts into clear, manageable steps, using real-world examples to bring theory to life. I draw on my BSc in Psychology and my MSc in Developmental Psychopathology, as well as my experience across NHS, private, and research settings to ensure lessons are evidence-based and engaging. Lessons typically last around an hour and are suitable for GCSE, A-Level, and undergraduate psychology students, including those who are neurodivergent or need extra support. My approach is strengths-based and neuroaffirmative: I aim not only to build understanding, but also confidence, motivation, and resilience in learning.
