About Chloe

I have a Bachelor's degree (BSc) in Psychology and a Masters degree (MSc) in Abnormal and Clinical Psychology, and I am currently in the final year of my PhD. My research focuses on the lived experiences of people with chronic cardiac conditions, with the intention of developing simple and practical self-help interventions to reduce associated health anxiety.

I have a wealth of knowledge of both qualitative and quantitative research methods and have experience designing and conducting both kinds of research projects. However, I am particularly passionate about qualitative research and in demonstrating the possible applications of qualitative research in Psychology.

Over the course of my PhD I have worked as a teaching assistant, where I taught undergraduate level statistics workshops and Biological Psychology seminars. I have had experience teaching large groups and also working with students one-on-one. I also have several years of experience marking statistical reports, lab-reports, and mini-projects, and providing clear and thorough feedback.

I was also recently employed as a data analyst for a large-scale research project investigating vaccination status and mask wearing behaviour during the COVID-19 pandemic.

About the lesson

My teaching approach:

My tutoring sessions are designed to promote learning, to develop practical skills, and to boost confidence. I am committed to fostering a positive learning environment, with approaches tailored to suit the individual’s needs and geared towards maximising learning outcomes. I work closely with students to help identify the specific area of focus and together, we develop a learning plan with clear and achievable goals, outlining exactly what the student wishes to achieve throughout the sessions.
