About Alexandra
I hold a First-Class degree in Biology and Psychology, as well as a Distinction in an MSc in Psychological Research Methods (with neuroimaging).
I recently passed my interdisciplinary PhD viva in neuroscience, which was jointly based in a Psychology Department, where I used data analysis and research methods to study brain ageing and cognitive decline.
I also hold a teaching qualification (AFHEA) and have experience teaching and mentoring students at GCSE, A-level, and university level.

I offer support in GCSE, A-level, undergraduate, and postgraduate Psychology, with a particular focus on research methods, statistics, and exam preparation.
My teaching is clear, structured, and tailored to each student. I focus on:
-breaking down complex theories into simple, understandable concepts
-explaining research methods and statistics step-by-step
-developing strong exam technique, including essays, evaluation, and critical thinking
I specialise in areas such as cognitive psychology, neuroscience, neuroanatomy, neuropathology and child development, helping students connect theory to real-world examples and deepen their understanding.
I am particularly experienced in supporting students who feel overwhelmed by content or struggle with research methods, building confidence gradually and ensuring a solid foundation.
I adapt lessons to suit different learning styles, including neurodivergent learners, creating a supportive and encouraging environment where students can progress at their own pace.
My goal is to make psychology feel clear, engaging, and manageable, while helping students achieve their academic goals and perform confidently in exams.
