About Toni
Toni is a passionate and experienced Science and Psychology teacher. After pursuing a BSc in Psychology with Cognitive Neuroscience at The University of Nottingham. Toni attained a PGDE at the esteemed UCL Institute of Education, ranked first in the world for education. For 2 years, she worked at a school in North London school ranked top 10% of schools nationwide for academic improvement, with a progress 8 score of +0.60. Here she attained Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) after teaching every year group from Year 7 to Year 13. Her 4 GCSE (Combined & Triple Science) classes achieved significant progress, with even bottom sets improving by 2 grades in their results. Recognising her love for personal tuition and supporting students individually, she left mainstream education to mentor and tutor science and psychology. I achieve excellent results by: * Helping students understand the most complex concepts in the curriculum * Modelling how to approach challenging questions using stepped processes * Providing exam-techniques and strategies to attain top marks * Providing revision tools, skills and questions to support learning outside of classroom settings * Inspiring students to have confidence in their ability
