About Leah
I’m a psychology student who loves helping young people feel more confident in their learning. Through my experience in youth leadership and peer support, I’ve learned how to explain things clearly, stay patient, and create a relaxed space where students feel comfortable asking questions. My lessons are supportive, structured, and tailored to each student’s needs. Outside of tutoring, I enjoy reading, baking, and playing team sports — all things that keep me grounded and bring positive energy into my sessions.

I use a supportive, step‑by‑step teaching approach that focuses on building confidence, strengthening understanding, and breaking tasks into manageable pieces. My lessons typically run for one hour and are tailored to each student’s learning style, whether they need help with reading, writing, study skills, or general academic support. I draw on my experience as a youth leader, peer support mentor, and psychology student, where I have worked closely with children and young people to help them learn, stay organised, and feel supported. My lessons are ideal for primary students, intermediate learners, and NCEA Level 1 students who benefit from patient guidance, clear explanations, and a positive learning environment.
