About Isobel
I have a first class degree in Psychology from the University of Southampton and have just spent a fantastic year working as a primary school teaching assistant.
During this time, I frequently taught to small groups of children across KS1 in a variety of subjects and offered support in phonics and reading. On the reopening of schools during COVID-19, I led my own 'bubble' teaching maths and English to children in year 2 up to year 4.
I am currently studying for an MSc in Child Development and will be available as a private tutor alongside this, either online or at your home in the South Gloucestershire/ Bristol area.

I am calm, encouraging and have a good understanding of how children learn. My aim is to not only improve academic progress but also to help children to develop confidence and a 'can-do' attitude in their abilities. I like to work at a pace which suits the individual child and will seek to find a range of activities which engage their interests.
I have also worked for 5 years as a qualified swimming teacher and delivered lessons to children of varying ages and abilities. Learning should fundamentally be enjoyable and this experience has allowed for an adaptable and fun approach to my lessons.
