About Christina

BSc Psychology graduate from Cardiff University. Currently undertaking my MSc in Counseling Psychology in NUP. Based in Cyprus I am immensely passionate about psychology not just as a subject, but as a way of making sense of the world. I like to delve deep into the science and would like to inspire students to adopt an intuitive confidence for the science of psychology.

About the lesson

My teaching style is interactive, personalized, and deeply student-centered. I focus on helping learners understand psychological concepts, not just memorize them. I use:

-Active recall & spaced repetition to support long-term memory
-Real-world examples (media, current events, case studies) to bring theory to life
-Exam technique coaching—breaking down mark schemes, structuring essays, and time management
-Collaborative lesson planning, where students co-choose topics based on their struggles and interests

Every student is different, but here’s what a 1-hour session might look like:

Check-in (5 mins)
Topic focus (30 mins)
→ Deep dive into one or two key areas using diagrams, flashcards, and discussion.
Exam application (15 mins)
→ Practice writing part of a response, or reviewing model answers
Wrap-up (10 mins)
→ Quick quiz or summary. Set optional follow-up tasks (notes, questions, videos).

I often integrate study coaching, helping students build habits, routines, and confidence that go beyond the subject.
I bring a human approach to academic pressure—especially important during GCSE/A-Level years.
