About Suma

I am a Lecturer of Psychology at a Further Education College at the moment. I teach Psychology, Sociology and Health and Social Care. I am a fun and engaging Tutor who is also assertive and strict when needed. I believe that a learning environment should be comfortable and safe and allow the student and tutor to be themselves. I am a reflective practitioner which means I will review our lessons and make each one different but will also have expectations for you to do things differently to also learn and develop. I have received the Jack Petchey Leader Award for being the most inspiring and motivating Teacher. I take pride in my students' achievements and establish well-placed goals to help them achieve their true potential.

About the lesson

My teaching techniques are engaging and creative. I also do a lot of flip learning so I will be assigning homework and background reading so you get the most out of your lesson. I also use a lot of summative feedback so you will know what progress you are making and what topics you need to review. Typical length of a lesson is 1 hour. I have a degree in Psychology and a PGCE from UCL university. I have worked in colleges, schools and sixth forms. My lessons are tailored to GCSE and A-level students, mainly A-level.
