About Shivangi
Psychology has helped me understand people—and myself—in ways I never imagined. Over the past few years, I've developed a solid academic foundation in areas like developmental, abnormal, cultural, and cognitive psychology. I've applied this knowledge through research projects on identity, substance use, and intersectionality, which deepened my understanding of real-world issues. I enjoy explaining concepts in clear, relatable ways, and I love encouraging curiosity and critical thinking in others. For me, teaching isn't just about sharing information—it's about sparking insight, empathy, and reflection. With my academic background, research experience, and genuine passion for the subject, I believe I'd be an engaging and thoughtful psychology teacher.

I am a psychology graduate with a deep curiosity about human behavior and a strong drive to
understand the factors that shape thoughts, emotions, and actions. I value intellectual growth
and see psychology as a powerful tool for not only addressing challenges one faces in the real
world but to facilitate individuals’ improvement of their mental health and understanding of
cross-cultural and workplace dynamics.
Throughout my academic journey, I have combined theoretical learning with practical
experiences by working in proximity with mental health organizations and institutions in India,
which have sharpened my critical thinking, communication, and collaborative skills. My
empathy, adaptability, and problem-solving abilities make me an asset in diverse professional
environments.
I am highly motivated to use my knowledge and skills to make a meaningful impact in
psychology, whether through mental health advocacy, innovative research and initiatives to
address novel challenges in the domain of psychology. In order to make such an impact, I am
looking for opportunities that allow me devise solutions that promote people’s well-being,
foster inclusivity, and address complex challenges across various contexts.
