About Zahra
I am a PGCE trainee in Primary Education, currently teaching a Year 2 class, with a strong commitment to helping children build confidence and achieve their full potential. Through my teacher training, I have gained hands-on experience planning and delivering engaging lessons that are aligned with the UK primary curriculum, particularly at Key Stage 1. I also hold a degree in Psychology, which supports my understanding of child development, learning styles, and how to create a positive and supportive learning environment. This allows me to tailor my teaching approach to suit each child’s individual needs and help them feel confident and motivated in their learning. In addition to my teacher training, I have experience working as a Teaching Assistant, where I supported pupils one-to-one and in small groups across literacy and numeracy. I am professional, patient, and reliable, and I place great importance on clear communication with both children and parents. My aim is to provide structured, engaging lessons that build strong foundations in reading, writing, and maths, while helping children feel supported, confident, and proud of their progress.

I use a child-centred, supportive approach that builds confidence while developing strong foundations in learning. I believe children learn best when they feel comfortable, encouraged, and engaged, so I make lessons interactive, positive, and age-appropriate. I have experience working with primary-aged children, supporting them in English and maths. I am familiar with the UK primary curriculum, particularly KS1 learning objectives. I have strong communication skills and experience explaining concepts clearly and patiently. I am committed to safeguarding and maintaining a safe, supportive learning environment. My lessons usually last between 45-60 minutes. I specialise in KS1.
